Considering the celtic longbow had a range of 500 yards and could punch through the armour of a WWII Sherman tank in pre Roman times. Bare in mind they used flintlocks which took longer to load and were not very acurate and only had a range of about 10 paces. miltia was more like 1 shot every 3 mins. during the war of independance loading times were usualy about 1 shot per minute. the Brits were the fastest at reloading but those times r for the napolinonic period.
